OU PGECET 2012 counselling Dates Exam Fee Eligibility for Mpharm MTech ME

Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2012 notification is released. PGECET is conducted by Osmania University on behalf of APSCHE for admission into ME/M.Tech/M.Pharm/M.Arch in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh (AP).

PGECET is necessary for students who want M.Tech admission in colleges under Andhra Pradesh state. This test is must for people who are unable to qualify GATE, so that admission for those students can be granted via PGECET exam. But remember first priority will always given to GATE student. That means PGECET students can avail the vacant seats which are left after after filling via GATE students.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
Student should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. (Last year so many students who belongs to other states also applied. So this time they mentioned the rule very clear)
The candidate should satisfy the local and non local status as given in the regulations of admission.
Candidate should abtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
Examination Fee:
Candidates are required to apply for PGECET 2012 via online only. The application fee is Rs.500/- for general and Rs.250/- for SC/ST students.

Payment can be made through AP Online as well as via Credit card and Debit Card also.

Test Pattern and Centers:

The test is of two hours duration having 120 multiple choice objective questions. It will be held at Hyderabad (JNTU,OU campus), Visakhapatnam (AU campus) and Tirupati (SVU campus) only.

Important Dates for PGECET 2012:

Date of commencement of submission of Online applications: 14-03-2012
Last date for submission of Online applications with out late fee: 23-04-2012
Last date for submission of Online applications with a late fee of Rs.500/- : 05-05-2012
Last date for submission of Online applications with a late fee of Rs.2000/- : 14-05-2012
Date of Entrance Test: In between 08-06-2012 to 11-06-2012

Students who had already qualified GATE for them a separate notification will be issued. So just ignore this PGECET Notification.
